As a leading European producer of fertilizers, salts and industrial products, we have EU-wide, national and international experience in the evaluation of substances. With a strong team of experts in the area of product and chemical safety, we work tirelessly to achieve the highest level of safety in the use of our products. Some of the products we offer are natural substances and are obtained from natural ressources. They are thus exempted from the obligation to register. We will pre-register those substances that require registration at an early stage and will register them by 1 December 2010. In order to cover all the relevant uses we will contact our customers in good time. |

This means that our customers will continue to be able to obtain all products from us legally, and can be sure that these will be of the same quality as always.
On 1 June 2007, the new European Community Chemicals Regulation No. 1907/2006 (REACH) entered into force. It requires the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemical substances. In addition, REACH also includes regulations on the restriction of substances and authorisation of substances of high concern.
The regulation is intended to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment, and to contribute to boosting confidence in the chemical industry on the part of consumers and society in the long term. Simultaneously, REACH is intended to improve the competitiveness and innovativeness of the European industry and strengthen its position on global markets.
It provides for, e.g., the registration of all substances produced in or imported into the EU with a volume of > 1 t/a. In the framework of this registration, it is necessary to demonstrate the safety of each substance for all identified uses. This is done by submitting a registration dossier to the new European Chemicals Agency in Helsinki (ECHA). It will control the registration process and ensure uniformity at the EU level.
For the registration of substances already on the market, REACH provides for transitional periods of three and one half to 11 years. As part of this process, these substances have to be pre-registered between 1 June 2008 and 30 November 2008.
