What was the last dividend payment?

Dividend payment for financial year 2008
On 14 May 2009, the dividend of € 396.0 million for 2008 was paid from the balance sheet profit of € 399.4 million available at the end of 2008. Based on the year-end closing price, this corresponds to a dividend yield of 6.0%. The remaining balance sheet profit of € 3.4 million were posted as profit carried forward.

Future dividend policy
We pursue a dividend policy that is in principal earnings-based. A dividend payout rate of between 40 % and 50 %, taking into account the free cash flow, forms the basis for future dividend recommendations to be determined jointly with the Supervisory Board. The sharp decrease in adjusted Group earnings after taxes expected for 2009 will have a corresponding impact on the future dividend payment.
