
Our Fields of Action
In 2010 for the first time, we defined our main fields of action for sustainable development in an internal materiality analysis, examined them in terms of opportunities and risks and compared their significance for our stakeholders with our possibilities for influencing them.
Our fields of action are derived from our vision/mission and from our corporate strategy, from global megatrends and management themes. We receive specific indications from our employees, customers, the authorities and NGOs as well as from our association work regarding what is expected from us as a globally operating raw materials company. Our own analyses complement this picture.
As the environment and framework conditions for our business are constantly changing, we will review the validity of this analysis annually and also utilise the dialogue with our stakeholders for it.
For us, a field of action is a key one if one or more of the following criteria are fulfilled:
- It currently influences our corporate actions to a high degree or will do so in the future.
- It is very important for our stakeholders.
- We are in a position to influence it.
