20-tonne loader in Borth mine

Loaders with a shovel capacity of up to 20 tonnes pick up the loosened salt and transport it to crushing plants. There it is ground coarsely and transported via conveyor belts several kilometres in length to the winding shaft. From there, it is transported to the surface. |
