The crystal grotto, which is known beyond the borders of Thuringia, is one of the highlights on a tour of the Merkers Adventure Mine, which belongs to the K+S Group today. During mining work conducted in 1980 at a level of 800 meters below the surface of the earth, a cavern was discovered that proved to be a unique treasure chamber on closer inspection. |
