K+S Aktiengesellschaft placed its first bond on the capital market on 17 September 2009. The transaction offers a prolonged maturity structure on favourable terms and an interesting investment opportunity for bonds investors.

Purpose of the bond issue:
The proceeds from the bond issue are to be used to refinance part of the bank loans needed to take over the US salt producer Morton Salt and will also be used for general company purposes.
